Glass Architecture in Nairobi.

Hey everyone, last time we featured old vintage buildings in the city. As a follow up to that, today I will feature the new modern architecture in the city focusing on Glass Architecture. Architectural glass has been widely used in the recent years in the construction of buildings with an aim to beautify them. Many buildings coming up in and around the city are widely using this technology to give a better impression of the buildings.

The majestic I&M Bank Towers

The majestic I&M Bank Towers

One of the best examples in the city is the I&M Bank Towers. The shade of blue and the clear, smooth, glass and marble surface give the building a stunning look making it one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. The surrounding planted vegetation around the building give the building an even better view. The look of a building defines the value of the building. The I&M Bank Towers attracts great revenue from all the offices rented out within the building. It is a very high end property that is also very prime and  highly sort out for. That is an advantage that architectural glass adds to the building.

View Park Towers

Another magnificent example is View Park Towers that stands right at the edge of the city. Its design is a very beautiful site to look at, and to top it all of, it also has architectural glass covering the entire building. The glass acts like a mirror to its surrounding. The building reflects the nearby buildings and also the sky and cloud cover giving off a great look to the building. The building also has a great value which is attributed to the outward look of the building. The building also has a beautiful marble finish inside it.

The Anniversary Towers and the Ambank Building also have a beautiful outward look that is also attributed to the architectural glass that covers majority of the building. The building that stands at the edge of the city has a very beautiful look reflecting the sky and cloud cover making it a really beautiful site when entering the city using the busy University Way. The building houses several government institutions and also offices of the University of Nairobi. Ambank Building also houses The Embassy of Iran and also Britam Insurance Company.

Glass architecture is an increasingly growing trend in Nairobi and also gives a vision of how the city will look like in the future. With the increasing developments in glass architecture, we would have a very beautiful city in the future. Maybe by the time Kenya attains its Vision 2030 goal. Peace.
